Who We Are

The Information Technology Association of Ghana (ITAG) is the leading professional and industry association representing Ghana’s ICT sector. Established to promote the growth, competitiveness, and sustainability of the ICT industry, ITAG serves as the collective voice for ICT professionals, companies, start-ups, and allied organizations across Ghana. Our role includes advocacy, standard-setting, capacity building, innovation promotion, and providing a platform for members to collaborate on national digital development initiatives.

Governance & Leadership

ITAG operates under a robust governance framework that ensures transparency, accountability, and efficiency. The governance structure comprises:

General Assembly: The highest decision-making body, consisting of all members.

National Executive Council (NEC): Responsible for strategic direction and operational oversight.

Board of Advisors / Council of Elders: Provides guidance, mentorship, and strategic advice

National Secretariat: Led by the Secretary-General, responsible for day-to-day management, administration, and program implementation.

Mission

To advance ICT policy advocacy, promote best practices and standards,
develop the capacity of professionals and organizations, support innovation,
and represent the interests of Ghana’s ICT industry at national and
international levels.

Constitution & Policies

ITAG’s operations are guided by a formally adopted Constitution, which outlines membership, governance, elections, disciplinary procedures, and ethical standards. Complementing the Constitution are policies on Code of Ethics, Conflict of Interest, Asset Declaration, and Data Protection. Together, these ensure a transparent, ethical, and professional operating environment for the ICT community in Ghana.
